Sparkasse Bremen celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2025!
We are proud to have enjoyed the trust of the people of Bremen and businesses in the region since 1825.
Committed citizens founded Sparkasse two centuries ago with a clear vision: to expand the financial opportunities for all Bremen residents and thus create the foundation for a better life. This founding mission continues to drive us today. What began with interest-bearing savings accounts now encompasses a broad range of financial and advisory services for over 400,000 customers and 25,000 businesses.
Making things possible has been part of our corporate philosophy since 1825: For generations, we have supported saving, wealth accumulation, and secure payment transactions. We support companies in their growth and transformation, promote start-ups, and create space for innovations that shape the Bremen of tomorrow. We invest in our city and its people.
But we are more than just a bank. Because it’s about more than just money, we invest several million euros every year in significant flagship projects in Bremen. We support culture, sports, education, the environment, social welfare, and science.
