Larch and spruce instead of marble and gold
The Carinthian Savings Bank (Kärntner Sparkasse) has opened its newest branch in Viktring. Environmentally conscious construction, natural materials, and hundreds of tons of CO2 savings make it a truly welcoming bank.
The new branch is a real gem in terms of architectural design, ecological construction, and a comfortable atmosphere. The Carinthian Savings Bank invested three million euros in the new branch, a timber-frame building constructed from high-quality local larch and spruce. Almost exclusively Carinthian companies were involved in the project, and the architectural firm “Lendarchitektur” was responsible for the planning and construction. The building is characterized by its elegant timber-frame construction and energy efficiency.
It took just over a year from groundbreaking to opening. Financial experts and their clients have access to state-of-the-art consultation rooms on 372 square meters in a two-story building with top-notch architecture. Accessibility and state-of-the-art technology are a given, and the self-service area (open daily from 5 a.m. to midnight), ample parking, and an electric vehicle charging station round out the services offered.
Why is the Carinthian Savings Bank building a completely new branch – bucking the general trend? Branch manager Melanie Plasch has the answer:
“As the Carinthian Savings Bank, we want to be close to our customers because personal consultation is becoming increasingly important, especially in these times. With ‘real’ advisors as partners – and no video chat. In short: We believe in human banking with personal financial experts right there with you.”
In the last 15 years, the Carinthian Savings Bank has gained over 50,000 new customers, 3,268 of them in the last year alone. Just recently, the milestone of 200,000 customers who trust Carinthia’s oldest and most modern bank was surpassed.
