Voices of Spirit: Steiermärkische Sparkasse unterstützt als Sponsorin und Bühnengeberin Kopie
The international choir festival Voices of Spirit kicked off its new edition on May 13, 2026, with the Long Night of Choirs. The Styrian Administrative Savings Bank once again supported the festival as its main sponsor and also provided a platform for five additional choirs.
“Promoting regional and contemporary culture and musical diversity has always been a major priority for Steiermärkische Verwaltungssparkasse. We are delighted that this commitment is being realized again this year through the support of Voices of Spirit, thereby raising the profile of the local choral scene. A particular highlight is that the Customer Lounge in the SparkassenCenter will be transformed into a concert stage during the Long Night of Choirs, becoming a place for musical encounters,” says Oliver Kröpfl, Member of the Board of Steiermärkische Bank und Sparkassen AG.
Festival Kick-off also in the Customer Lounge
As part of the Long Night of Choirs on May 13, a total of 44 choirs will perform at nine different locations from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Customer Lounge in the SparkassenCenter at Sparkassenplatz 4 will also be transformed into a concert stage. Five selected choirs will present their programs here, which are free for all interested parties to attend.

However, the festival is not just a concert event, but is complemented by workshops and masterclasses. The festival enjoys international renown. This will be evident in 2026, for example, through the participation of the renowned Latvian composer Ēriks Ešenvalds. Such collaborations foster a lasting exchange between Austrian and international artists.
